Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in the world.

There are more member nations in FIFA than both the United Nations and the International Olympic Movement!



It then comes as no surprise that in Canada, soccer is now the most popular sport in terms of participation, with total numbers exceeding well over one million athletes.



 

The popularity of football as a youth sport now surpasses hockey as the most popular youth participation sport in Canada; amongst female athletes the popularity of soccer has become even more noticeable.



The mission of the RDA Sponsorship and Fundraising Programs is to provide our youth the opportunity to involve themselves in an excellent socio-athletic program while maintaining an affordable cost to the participating families.



 

Additionally, the sponsorship and fundraising program works to introduce our sponsoring partners to the RDA membership.



From the age of 5 through 18, from the aspiring novice to the skilled veteran, our trainees are engaged in a constructive environment that promotes self-confidence, good sportsmanship, teamwork and commitment.



The explosive growth of soccer has turned what was predominantly a summer sport in to a year round endeavor for clubs and academies.



However, with the accelerated growth of soccer come major increases in the operating costs of running soccer businesses.

Those increasing costs can no longer be covered solely by the registration fees from those of our members who can financially afford it.



RDA's goal is to be able to allow every athlete who shows the commitment, drive, desire and work ethic to be able to realize their dreams without any financial constraints.



 

It is also our goal to allow any RDA athlete that wishes to pursue an academic education or Professional opportunities through athletics by eliminating the barriers that limit that prospect to those who are financially able.
